This work represents my first experience with Adobe Photoshop. The work combines text and images from LIFE magazines–think "digitally cut" images. Handwritten text and "30" are also present.
This work was created as part of a graphic design course by Dan Anderson.
Instructor Details:
Using only images scanned from LIFE magazines providing in class, produce a promotional flier for a local cause or organization. You will input the images for editing in Photoshop but may not use Adobe fonts or graphics within your design.
Images:
The scanned source images should be cropped, color corrected, and adjusted in Photoshop. You may consider scaling into the image, combining images, or creatively manipulating the images to create a desired effect.
Text:
You may not use any stock text in your design. You may use drawing or shape creation tools, manipulate text from LIFE magazine, or create text from other images in LIFE magazine.
Technical Requirements:
Final product will be printed in color on 8.5” x 11” paper at 300dpi PDF. The Design must include the name of the organization, and at least one additional supporting text such as a slogan, city/location, or other promotional material.
